Have a stylin' summer!

Today is the official first day of summer! Hoorah! In celebration of this special day (other than taking the day off to hit the beach!), we present to you some fabulous R&C styles that are especially fabulous in the summer. Enjoy!

What's summer without the classic gold hoop? Once especially popular in the 1980's, the urban-chic hoop earrings manage to make a comeback every summer and match just about any summer outfit. Our Gold Hoops are made from recycled 18k gold and feature fine filagree detailing.

The Abigail Necklace is 24 inches of sterling silver rollo chain adorned with 9 shimmering cinch cut rose quartz stones. All ethically sourced as always, the rosy pink hue of the rose quartz will dress up any simple tank and is wearable in a number of ways.

With a hammered textured band and a single rough diamond that evokes the look of a special stone rescued from the surf, the Silver Aureole Bangle is ideal for any minimalist who likes to add just a hint of flair to their look. 

One of R&C's most popular styles, the Star Earrings are the perfect accessory for celebrating Independence Day. Each star is made from recycled 18k gold and features a single sparkling rough diamond. Let the fireworks begin!

Glittering Gems

When R&C first began back in 2008, we exclusively used rough and cut diamonds and 18k gold and sterling silver- all ethically sourced and recycled, of course! As time progressed, we progressed too when we noticed the sudden emergence in the popularity of colored gemstones. Most likely this was due- at least in part -to the economical downturn, meaning people simply just could not afford their favorite shining stones like they used to.

Luckily, we knew of a magical company called Columbia Gem House, a company that, "adheres to The Quality Assurance and Fair Trade Gems Protocols." All of their gemstones are ethically sourced, and cut and polished right on site, and all are always of the most superior color and quality you can find.

We started using a special selection of gems that were cut in the "checkerboard" style and found the brilliant and new-and-upcoming designer Jennifer Schelhorn (who has since become an integral part of our retail shop, Glittering Conscience) who created the Endless Color Collection.
